SOOTHE THE BACK YOGA - THREE 3 WEEK SERIES TO CHOOSE FROM!
The Soothe the Back Yoga Class Series walk students through a series of yoga poses designed to strengthen the spine, as well as stretch and lengthen all of the muscles in the back, helping to reduce or possibly eliminate many back pain problems. The classes may contain spinal balances, forward folds, gentle back bends, twists, spine strengtheners, and a bit of abdominal work to counter all of the back muscle work and keep the body balanced. Your back and your whole body will feel amazing! These are slow-paced Restorative yoga classes.
Soothe the Back Series 1 Pelvis and Low Back - This practice is meant for those with chronic but still functional lower back pain to help improve and prevent future issues. It is a simple but powerful Restorative yoga class that targets key areas to help balance the musculature of the lower back and pelvis.
Soothe the Back Series 2 Low Back and Middle Back - In this class, we soften the hard armor of the mid-back using circular movements as well as lengthening and broadening poses for happy and loose shoulders and mid-back. This Restorative Yoga Class focuses on strengthening and stretching the shoulders and low back. Includes twisting, balancing, back and abdominal strengtheners and hip openers.
Soothe the Back Series 3 - Upper Back, Upper Shoulders and Neck - This class is designed to release the hard-working neck and shoulder muscles as loosen the related muscles and joints through the whole body. This class is designed to decrease neck and shoulder pain as well as increase awareness of how the whole body interrelates. Using twists, strength building postures and backbends, this class will help bring circulation to the body after a long day. Benefits: tones the spine, releases the neck and shoulders, and lubricates the vertebrae and shoulder joints.
Contraindications for all the Soothe the Back Series classes: if you are recovering from any spine, neck or shoulder injury, consult your health practitioner before attempting this, or any yoga exercise.
