WELCOME TO ALTAMONTE SPRINGS YOGA!
If you are new to yoga, Altamonte Springs Yoga offers several Beginner Level classes as well as Yoga 101, an Introduction to Yoga. Check our Class Descriptions for the Level of the class you are interested in attending. The levels range from Beginner to Intermediate to Advanced. To help speed up the signing in process please fill out the New Student Registration before your first visit to ASY.

We have added Kid’s Yoga to our class schedule. If you would like to attend our adult yoga classes here’s the age requirements:
- Children 10 years and older are welcome to attend our gentle and NON-HEATED classes with parent.
- Teens 14 and older are welcome to attend our Warm classes with their parent.
- Teens 16 and older are welcome to attend our Hot classes.
- Children may NOT be left alone in the lobby while parents are in class.

- Monday: Non-heated Yin Yoga 10:00am, Warm Yoga 5:30pm, Non-Heated Yoga 101 7:30pm
- Tuesday: Gentle Flow Yoga (non-heated) 10:15am, Intro to Hot Yoga 7:00pm
- Wednesday: Warm Yoga 10:00am, Non-Heated Yin Yoga 7:30pm
- Thursday: Non-heated Yin Yoga 7:30pm
- Friday: Gentle Flow Yoga (non-heated) 10:15am
- Saturday: Non-Heated Yin Yoga 11:30am
- Sunday: Hot Yin 6pm

Register For A Class
Preparing for Yoga Class:
- Refrain from eating for 2 or 3 hours before class – if you practice yoga on a full stomach, you might experience cramps, nausea, or vomiting, especially in twists, deep forward bends, and inversions. Digesting food also takes energy that can make you feel lethargic.
- Purchase a yoga mat and bring a small towel and water. We have rental mats for $3. If you decide to make yoga a regular part of your life we suggest you purchase your own yoga mat. We have mats for sale ($18-$130) and bottled water for purchase $1-$2.
- Plan to arrive early to fill out the New Student Form or you can fill out the online registration at the bottom of this page.
Arriving for Class:
- Arrive on time – arriving at least 10 minutes before class can help you settle in and align your intention with the purpose of the class. While you’re waiting you can practice a pose, do a few stretches, or just sit or lie quietly, breathe, and get centered.
- Sign In for Class – Please scan in at the computer sign-in desk before each class. To simplify sign-in, please preregister for classes online prior to arriving at the studio then, when you arrive, just scan your key card to confirm your attendance.
- Signing in for class is important even if you are on an unlimited yoga package. We evaluate classes every few months; to ensure your favorite classes stay on the schedule please sign in so your attendance can be counted. Also, our teachers are paid per student signing in ensures the teacher gets paid for your attendance.
- Remove Your Shoes – place your shoes in the cubbies by the front door. Since people will be walking around the studio barefoot, it is most hygienic if everyone takes off their outdoor shoes first thing.This also frees up floor space and helps to avoid any unfortunate accidents involving candles and/or tripping.
- Bring only your mat, towel, water and yoga props into the studio all other belongings can be placed in the cubbies by the front door.
- Do not bring cell phone into the yoga studio – make a habit of doing this as soon as possible.
- Enjoy your practice and monitor your effort – take the version of the pose that best fits your energy level at the moment.
- If you arrive after class has begun – please wait for opening meditation to conclude before entering the studio and be as quiet as possible.
- Make room for everyone – as the room fills up during our most popular class times, please work together to create enough space for everyone. Pulling the front row close to the mirrors and staggering the rows behind allows more people to see the mirrors and the feeling of being overcrowded goes away.
- Go to the bathroom during resting poses – it is fine to leave class for a few minutes to go to the bathroom; there is no need to ask the teacher’s permission. The best time to go is when there is a period of rest, either in Child’s Pose or Downward Dog or during water breaks.
- Don’t push your poses – do what you can without straining or injuring yourself. You’ll go farther faster if you take a loving attitude toward yourself and work from where you are, not from where you think you should be.
- Keep variations appropriate – keep in mind the level of the class you are attending. If it is an advanced class and some of the poses are too hard, it is fine to take a more basic variation of the poses being taught. Usually the teacher will offer this option. If you are attending a Beginner class, stick to the basic versions of the poses so you don’t confuse new students. The teacher will offer you the option to take a more advanced variation when appropriate.
- Don’t skip Savasana – your final relaxation in Savasana is an important part of your practice. Don’t plan to leave class early. If you must leave early, tell the teacher in advance and take a short Savasana before you go.
- Studio Facilities – we have unisex bathrooms available for your convenience. Please bring your own towels and toiletries.
